Expressing Gratitude and Honoring Heroic Martyrs in Laos
On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, a ceremony was held in Vientiane province, Laos, to honor the heroic martyrs of Vietnam and Laos. The event took place at the Lao Joint Forces Combat Monument in Keun village, Thoulakhom district, and the Vietnam Martyrs' Memorial in Phaxang village, Kasy district.

Vietnam - Laos Trading Partners Seeking New Opportunities
The Vietnam-Laos Trade Fair (VietLao Expo) 2023 commenced on July 27 at the Laos International Exhibition and Convention Center (Lao-Itecc) in the capital city of Vientiane. This event, featuring approximately 250 booths showcasing goods from Vietnamese and Lao enterprises, is the largest trade promotion event between the two countries. It is co-chaired by the Ministries of Industry and Trade from both Vietnam and Laos and organized annually by the Trade Promotion Departments in collaboration with relevant agencies.

Vietnam Aims to Import 20 Million Tons of Coal from Laos Each Year
Vietnam and Laos have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their cooperation in the coal sector. Vietnam will now import an additional 20 million tons of coal annually from Laos for the next five years, contributing to its energy security.
