As part of their visit to Vietnam, on the afternoon of June 4th, a high-level delegation from the Lao State Inspectorate, led by Khamphan Phommathat, a member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee, Head of the Central Anti-Corruption Committee, and Chief Inspector of Laos, visited and held discussions at the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV). Attending the meeting also was Duong Quoc Huy, Deputy Inspector General of the Vietnamese Government.

The results of the implementation of the cooperation agreement between the Central Inspection Commission of Vietnam and the Central Inspection Commission of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party have significantly strengthened the friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, the two governments, and the peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

At the 33rd ASEAN Directors-General of Customs Meeting (ADGCM), held from June 4 to 6, 2024, and hosted by Vietnam Customs, one of the key topics to be discussed is cooperation on the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program.
