Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation Program: Developing a Strategy for Innovative Development Towards 2030
The Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation Program (GMS) was initiated in 1992 with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The member countries of GMS include Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and China (represented by the Yunnan and Guangxi provinces). Since 1992, Vietnam has actively participated in the GMS Economic Cooperation Program. Vietnam's involvement has yielded many positive outcomes in economic development and poverty reduction while also contributing to enhancing regional economic integration.

Laying the Groundwork for the Lao Bao - Den Savanh Cross-Border Economic and Trade Zone
On March 15, a workshop titled "Lao Bao - Den Savanh Cross-Border Economic and Trade Zone: From Concept to Reality" will be held in Lao Bao Town (Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province). Organized by Quang Tri Province, this significant event aims to finalize the proposal for the cross-border Economic and Trade Zone (ETZ) and the draft bilateral agreement for the governments of both countries to sign. This will lay the foundation for the establishment of a joint cross-border ETZ between the two nations.

Over 480 Companies to Participate in VIETNAM EXPO 2024

ASEAN Countries Approve 14 Priority Economic Cooperation Initiatives
The 30th ASEAN Economic Ministers' Retreat (AEMR30) has approved 14 priority economic cooperation initiatives proposed by Laos for its ASEAN Chairmanship in 2024, under the theme "ASEAN: Advancing Connectivity and Resilience." The initiatives focus on three main directions: Economic recovery and connectivity; Building an inclusive and sustainable future; and Transitioning towards a digital future.
