Consultation meeting on the implementation of trade facilitation
Department of Import and Export as an office of Trade Facilitation Secretariat had organized a consultation meeting between public sector and private sector on the implementation of trade facilitation on 14th June 2017 at Lao Plaza, Vientiane Capital. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Khemdeth Sihavong, Deputy Director General of Department of Import and Export. The objective of this meeting is to discuss about perspectives of relevant public sector and private sector on the implementation of provisions in the Trade Facilitation Agreement of the WTO that concluded in category B and C. In addition, the meeting also discussed about the readiness of Lao PDR to be a party of Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross Border Paperless Trade for Asia Pacific Region.
