Vietnam - Laos Trade Fair 2017: June 29 to July 3, 2017
Objective: To support businesses to strengthen trade promotion activities, seek customers, boost export and import. This is an important socio-economic and political activity aimed at consolidating and strengthening the friendship and solidarity between the Vietnamese people and Laos on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Vietnam - Laos, 55 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos.

With government officials strongly promoting tourism on the national agenda, the country is preparing to launch the “Visit Laos Year 2018” campaign in an effort to attract more foreign travelers. According to the Director General of the Tourism Marketing Department, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Sounh Manivong, the Visit Laos Year 2018 campaign is scheduled to kickoff in November in time for the That Luang Festival, and will be hosting a number of high ranking officials and journalists from other countries.

Lao Home and Living Fair 2017 to Be Held Next Month
(KPL) The 2nd Lao Home and Living Fair 2017 will be held next month to promote the buying and selling of Lao products. The fair will be held at the ITECC Mall (old building) in Vientiane Capital on July 8-16, the Vice President of the Lao Furniture Association, Kongmala Phommalay said at a press conference held in Vientiane Capital last Friday.

Tapping success in Lao's growing demand for water & sanitation technology

Building business in Southeast Asia next growth market
Laos has emerged as one of the fastest growing economy in Asia with average growth rates of 7-8% in the past decade and has doubled the economy since 2006. The building and construction sector is a key driver of the economy with major infrastructure projects underway. According to the Vientiane Planning and Investment Department, over 800 projects are underway including power, special economic zones, commercial, industrial and residential buildings and hotels. The construction sector is enjoying double digit growth with the surge in the number of hotels, malls and residential projects.
