The Ministry of Forest Protection in Vietnam and the Ministry of Forestry Inspection in Laos have reached an agreement to exchange information soon about regulations and policies pertaining to forest management, protection, and wood resource commerce.

Cambodia is projected to build a 382 km long semi-high-speed railway, with an estimated cost of about 4 billion USD, from Phnom Penh, the capital, to Poipet, on the Thai border, by the end of 2024. The goal is to link Laos's Preah Sihanouk and Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City with this railway once it's finished.

According to data recorded by the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of Vietnamese commodities to Laos reached 27.8 million USD by the end of January 2023. This figure represents a decline of 72.3% when compared to December 2022.

A train with 19 refrigerated containers, totaling around 280 tons of fresh veggies, set off from Kunming (Yunnan, China) on February 7 and arrived in Bangkok 55 hours later. Thai fruits are scheduled to leave for China on an international train in the afternoon.
