Vietnam - Laos press in the digital media era

From July 25 to 28, in Cua Lo (Nghe An province), an international seminar was organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Lao Journalists Association with the theme "Vietnam - Laos Press in the digital media era".

The seminar aims to further strengthen the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries' Journalists Association.

Attending the seminar, on the Vietnamese side, were Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Newspaper Thuan Huu; General Director of Voice of Vietnam Nguyen The Ky; Head of Nghe An National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Dac Vinh; Permanent Vice Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association Ho Quang Loi; Deputy General Director of Vietnam News Agency Le Quoc Minh. On the Lao side, there were Mr. Savankhone Razmountry, Deputy Minister of Sports, Culture and Tourism, Chairman of Laos Journalists Association.

The two countries’ Journalists Association has a tradition of solidarity and cooperation, making an important contribution to strengthening the Vietnam-Laos’ relationship. Through bilateral cooperation between the two association, the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Laos Journalists Association have exchanged comprehensive information on political, economic, social life of the two countries.

At the seminar, there were many presentations, focused on discussion, analysis several topics related to: how to write news in the digital media era; how to overcome the challenges posed by the context of global digital communication. Delegates also expressed their views, sharing initiatives, experiences to attract the public and operation methods to enhance the cooperation of the two countries’ press in the digital media era.
