NDO - A delegation of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee provided Xieng Khuang Province of Laos with medical equipment and necessities on April 20 to help the province cope with the COVID-19 epidemic.

Specifically, more than 10 tonnes of rice, 50,000 medical masks, 1,000 bottles of antiseptic water and hand sanitiser, 500 medical protective suits, 135 kg of disinfectant chemicals and many other necessities worth a total of over VND700 million were presented.

* On the same day, the Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) Group of Vietnam also donated US$100,000 to the Lao Government to help the country purchase medical supplies for the fight against COVID-19.

The medical supplies to be purchased include 3,000 pieces of preventive gear, 205,000 face masks, 5,000 bottles of antiseptic solution, and 50,000 pairs of medical gloves.

* According to the Embassy of Vietnam in France, in the context of France's extension of isolation and blockade to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, Vietnamese citizens in France can register their aspiration to return home at: https://ambassade-vietnam.com/thong-bao-ve-viec-dang-ky-danh-sach-ve-nuoc

This is considered as a basis to propose that the Government organise flights for citizens from France to return home in the near future.
