Vietnam's north central provinces promote tourism in Laos
The Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces jointly organized a program to promote tourism in the provinces, in Laos, on May 21.

The event was attended by the leaders of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces; representatives of tourism associations and tourism enterprises in the provinces; representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, the Department of Tourism Marketing of Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos; representatives of the Laos Tourism Association and many tourism businesses in the Businessmen Association and Vietnam – Laos Friendship Association, along with a large number of media and newspapers in Laos and Vietnam.
Addressing the event, the Deputy Director of the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen Thi Thanh An, said the program aimed to introduce the tourism potential and enhance the cooperation and development of tourism between Vietnam’s Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh provinces with Laos.
In addition, the program also aimed to attract more visitors from Laos and other countries to the North Central provinces of Vietnam. The event was also considered as an opportunity for the tourism businesses and tourism associations of Vietnam and Laos to meet and exchange information.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Laos Association of Travel Agents, Somphong Deviengxay, said the cooperation and development of tourism between Laos-Vietnam in general, and between Vietnam’s North Central provinces and Laos in particular, not only creates revenue for the national budget but also helps to strengthen the solidarity between the two countries.
Under the framework of the promotion program, businesses from Laos and the three provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh also met to exchange information and sign cooperation programs.
