Leaders of Tuyen Quang province work in Laos
Continuing its business visit to the Lao PDR, on November 8, a delegation from Tuyen Quang Province, led by Ms. Le Thi Kim Dung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, held a meeting with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR, to discuss provincial cooperation in tourism and the promotion of Tuyen Quang’s OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products to the northern localities of Laos. Ms. Kieu Thi Hang Phuc, the Vietnamese Consul General in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR, welcomed and worked with the delegation.
During the meeting, Ms. Le Thi Kim Dung expressed her pleasure at visiting and working with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Luang Prabang. She provided an overview of the socio-economic situation of Tuyen Quang Province in recent times.
She affirmed that Tuyen Quang’s foreign affairs activities have been comprehensively deployed, correctly oriented, and have achieved positive results. These efforts have gradually played a role in connecting, promoting, and boosting international cooperation to serve the socio-economic development goals of the province, contributing to the introduction and promotion of the land, people, potential, advantages, and traditional cultural identity of the province to international friends.
The connection and establishment of cooperative relations with foreign localities and international organizations have been progressively focused on; the friendly cooperation with traditional partners has been deepened; and the activities to promote investment, trade, and tourism have been effectively implemented, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
Ms. Le Thi Kim Dung emphasized that with the great aspiration for Tuyen Quang to achieve economic growth and comprehensive development in the next five years, the province is actively carrying out foreign affairs activities to boost investment cooperation and mobilize foreign resources for the province’s socio-economic development.
Therefore, Tuyen Quang Province looks forward to the assistance of the Consulate General in introducing and promoting the potential and strengths of Tuyen Quang to Lao enterprises for investment opportunities in the province. Simultaneously, the province seeks to introduce investment cooperation opportunities in Laos to businesses from Tuyen Quang.
Additionally, the province seeks support in connecting and expanding cooperation in various fields: cultural exchanges, people-to-people exchanges, and tourism between Tuyen Quang and the northern localities of Laos, contributing to strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Consul General Kieu Thi Hang Phuc appreciated the material and spiritual support provided by Tuyen Quang to Xieng Khouang Province over the past period. She expressed her desire and affirmed her commitment to creating all favorable conditions for Tuyen Quang to maintain and promote cooperative and friendly activities, including continuing to upgrade and expand cooperative relations with the northern provinces of Laos; carrying out human resource training for the northern provinces of Laos; and promoting investment, trade, and tourism between Tuyen Quang and Luang Prabang in particular, and with the northern provinces of Laos in general. These efforts are aimed at further strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries of Vietnam and Laos, to remain evergreen and enduring.
On this occasion, the delegation donated 150 million VND to support the construction of a memorial area for the heroes and martyrs of both countries and Vietnamese volunteer military experts in Xieng Khouang Province.
