In response to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has coordinated with ministries, departments and branches to implement many specific actions to support enterprises. Up to now, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has implemented a series of activities under the National Trade Promotion Program in 2020. The National Trade Promotion Program has actively contributed to boosting exports and bringing turnover. Vietnam's import and export reached 500 billion USD in 2019. Up to now, Vietnam's goods have been present in more than 200 countries and territories, in which many markets have high standards and quality requirements. such as the United States, Japan, EU, Korea ...
Fruit Logistica - Germany
From February 5-7, 2020, according to the framework of the NTP 2020 program approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (Vinafruit), organized a delegation of 9 Vietnamese enterprises in the field of Exporting and processing fruit and vegetables for export participating in the Fruit Logistica Exhibition and Wholesale Fair in Berlin, Germany. This year is the second year Vietnamese enterprises participate in the Fair, by participating in this fair in order to further promote the export of Vietnamese fruit products to the German market in particular as well as the EU Union. Europe (in general), especially in the context of the Vietnam Free Trade Agreement - EVFTA will soon take effect.
Success beyond expectations
During the Fair, the Vietnam Pavilion welcomed many European customers: the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Spain and also many foreign enterprises ordered dragon fruits and lemons from Vietnam. . Especially, a business in Binh Thuan province has signed a successful contract with a business in Russia with a deal up to 3 million USD.
Regarding partners in the host country, it is expected that big partners in Germany will import more fresh fruit products from Vietnam. Currently, at the leading German supermarket chains such as Netto, Edeka, Selgros have successfully imported and distributed Vietnamese fruit products, especially dragon fruits. Other products such as fresh passion fruit, coconut powder, dried, dried banana, dried dragon fruit will also promise to have transaction contracts in the near future.
Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association - Vinafruit said that the total value of orders and contracts signed by Vietnamese enterprises at this year's fair increased by 50-100% compared to last year. Expected turnover of about 15-20 million USD for the items: dragon fruit, passion fruit, seedless lemon, green skin pomelo, sweet potato, mango, lychee, vu sua, rambutan ... will be participating by businesses. The project will be implemented from now until the end of 2020.
Spring Fair- United Kingdom
Not only agricultural products, from February 3-6, 2010, a delegation of 10 Vietnamese handicraft enterprises participated in the Spring Fair International Fair under the NTP 2020. This is the largest trade fair in Vietnam. The UK specializes in handicrafts, gifts, household goods and interior decoration. Held every year, Spring Fair has attracted a lot of quality customers from UK, Europe and many countries around the world.
Diverse handcrafted products from Vietnam
Participating in this fair, the Vietnamese business delegation introduced a variety of handicraft products, from traditional products such as bamboo, rattan, ceramics of Hapro enterprises, Chu Dau ceramics, jewelry products Thinking and Minh Giang to new products such as leather handicrafts of Bright Vietnam, handmade paintings by Anh & Em, wooden boats from Thien Thuong…. The impressive design and staging of Vietnam's booth has attracted the special attention of customers to the fair.
