The Vietnamese delegation was led by Senior Colonel Le Khac Thuyet, Vice Director of the Nghe An Police Department, while Senior Colonel Enoun Anongnout, Director of the Houaphanh Police Department, and Senior Colonel Thongbai Lovanxay, Director of the Bolikhamxai Police headed the two Laos delegations.
Reports at the meetings showed that the Vietnamese and Laos sides have expanded cooperation and information exchange as well as supported each other in grasping the situations of security and order along the shared borderline. Especially, the two sides’ forces well coordinated with each other in defeating conspiracies of hostile forces using religious, ethnic, human rights issues to sabotage the Parties and States of Vietnam and Laos.
In the spirit of solidarity and friendship, the Vietnamese police delegation signed a memorandum of understanding on security cooperation in 2018 with the two Laos provinces.
Under the two deals, the Vietnamese and Laos police forces will promote cooperation in fighting activities against each country of hostile forces and overseas reactionary organizations, and build a Vietnam - Laos borderline of peace, friendship and security on the basis of respecting national sovereignty and jurisdiction of each country.
