PM hosts Laos Deputy PM Bunthoong Chitmanys

HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc welcomed visiting Deputy Prime Minister and Inspector General of Laos Bunthoong Chitmany in Hà Nội yesterday.
On behalf of the Vietnamese Government and people, PM Phúc again extended his profound sympathy to the Laos Party, Government and people for the severe losses caused by the dam collapse in Attapeu province.
The Laos leader informed the PM of the outcomes of his working session with the Vietnamese Inspector General, confirming that the Government Inspectorate of Việt Nam had provided assistance for the Laos side in all fields, especially in training and improving the capacity of Laos inspectors.
Regarding Laos’ socio-economic development in the first months of 2018, Chitmany shared that the Laos Government was working to solve difficulties facing the business community while stepping up investment promotions and facilitating investments from foreign firms, including those from Việt Nam.
PM Phúc expressed his hope that the two agencies would intensify bilateral cooperation to increase the efficiency of inspection work, thus contributing more to the two countries’ special solidarity, friendship and comprehensive co-operation.
