Over 480 Companies Set to Join VIETNAM EXPO 2024

10th March 2024 post by MOIT Vietnam

The 33rd International Vietnam Trade Fair - VIETNAM EXPO 2024 will be held from April 3 to 6, 2024, at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center (I.C.E), 91 Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. The event is expected to welcome over 20,000 visitors over the four-day exhibition period.

With more than 480 companies showcasing their products across 550 booths from 16 countries and territories, VIETNAM EXPO 2024 will highlight five main industry sectors: (1) Vietnam Export & Investment Promotion Pavilion; (2) International Pavilion; (3) Electronics, Machinery, and Supporting Industries; (4) Digital Technology and E-commerce; and (5) Food Industry.

As the longest-standing annual trade promotion event in Vietnam since 1991, VIETNAM EXPO is organized by VINEXAD under the direction of the Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Trade Promotion Agency. Over the past 30 years, VIETNAM EXPO has established its role and influence, becoming a key platform for domestic companies and international trade promotion organizations to showcase their products, expand business opportunities, and explore investment prospects in the Vietnamese market.

This year’s VIETNAM EXPO will showcase a strong presence from four major country pavilions—India, South Korea, Russia, and China—highlighting the appeal of the Vietnamese market for attracting investment and fostering sustainable foreign trade cooperation.

Following significant advancements and notable achievements in the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership throughout 2023, the Indian Pavilion will officially participate in VIETNAM EXPO 2024. Led by the Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), this presence will lay the groundwork for enhanced collaboration, exchange, and learning between the business communities of both countries in 2024 and beyond.

Marking its 25th consecutive year, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) has chosen VIETNAM EXPO as a key event for promoting economic, trade, and investment activities. This pavilion will continue to serve as a vital bridge to expand bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in 2024—the second year of implementing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and South Korea.

As Vietnam and the Russian Federation prepare to celebrate 30 years of the Treaty on Basic Principles of Friendship, the Russian Pavilion will feature top companies from Moscow interested in exploring the Southeast Asian market and seeking business development opportunities with Vietnamese partners.

Continuing its role as Vietnam’s largest trading partner and second-largest export market, the Chinese Pavilion, with over 100 booths, will display machinery and equipment from major provinces such as Fujian and Guangdong. This pavilion is expected to offer enhanced opportunities for technology transfer and more flexible investment cooperation, deepening the bilateral trade relationship.

Additionally, to provide useful market information and support direct market entry for businesses, the Invest in Vietnam Pavilion will continue its mission to drive the development of key industries aligned with local economic development goals, representing provinces, cities, and industrial zones across the country.

Continuing to be a focal point at VIETNAM EXPO 2024, the Hanoi Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Pavilion (HPA) will showcase the city’s strengths, potential, and investment policies. The pavilion will highlight Hanoi’s export products, business capabilities, and facilitate connections with domestic distributors and international importers in the fields of auxiliary industries, electrical equipment, and food.

With strong support and enthusiastic participation from local investment, trade, and tourism promotion centers, high-quality export products and OCOP (One Commune One Product) items will be presented to a wide audience of consumers nationwide and international friends through various trade fairs. In addition to product quality, the meticulous attention to branding and presentation by Vietnamese businesses has been warmly received and supported by the majority of fair attendees.

In 2024, the Vietnam Exports Pavilion at VIETNAM EXPO will welcome nearly 50 enterprises from 23 provinces and cities, including: Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Bac Ninh, Ben Tre, Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Dong Thap, Hanoi, Ha Tinh, Hai Duong, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Long An, Nghe An, Nha Trang, Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Quang Ninh, Quang Nam, Thanh Hoa, Tien Giang, Thai Nguyen, Son La, and Yen Bai.

VIETNAM EXPO 2024 not only attracts attention with its diverse range of exhibits and the quality of participating businesses' products and services but also emphasizes organizing activities that connect supply and demand, specialized seminars, and high-level forums with various discussion sessions and themes. Aiming to enhance the effectiveness of visits and business interactions over the four-day exhibition, this year’s event will feature several notable side activities:

- Wednesday, April 3: The program “Investment Promotion Training for Localities and Industrial Zones in Vietnam” will be held in the afternoon, jointly organized by the Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE).

- Thursday, April 4: The forum “The Expanding Responsibilities of Enterprises: From Practice to Policy,” in collaboration with Vietnam News, and the seminar “Promoting Digitization in Industry: Advantages and Challenges,” in partnership with the Key Industries Association (HAMI), will take place.

- Friday, April 5: The seminar “Solutions to Enhance Quality and Productivity for Successful Business and Elevate Vietnamese Brands in the Global Supply Chain,” in collaboration with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and the seminar “BPA Market and Automation Solutions,” organized in partnership with WBSys Co., Ltd., will be held.
