Water.
Accordingly, the Lao government assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of this country to coordinate with related parties, encourage people to participate, build a movement of clean agricultural production on a large scale, in order to meet the pace of increasing product consumption, safety in domestic and international markets, considering it a strength for socio-economic development in the coming time.
Laos' Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Bounkhoang Khambounhuang, stated that clean agricultural products are in high demand both in Laos and around the world. Laos will concentrate on clean agricultural production based on the strengths of each region and locality, with the goal of exporting its products.
"The Party and State's guideline and policy is to develop clean agriculture in order to suit the needs of the international market." We currently have many rules and regulations, particularly the legislation on the use of chemicals and dangerous substances, which is considered the cornerstone and foundation in the implementation of growing crops, safe cultivation, and husbandry. Mr. Bounkhoang Khambounhuang stated, "The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, as well as the Government, have designed a clean agricultural production project split by regions, localities, soils, and traditions to suit the current scenario."
Laos currently has a number of regulations in place to help those involved in clean agricultural production, such as favorable power bills, seed imports, and enough water supply…
However, Laos has a variety of problems, including market access restrictions, the capacity to deliver safe products, and the misuse of plant protection chemicals... It is one of the issues that Laos is dealing with. If they wish to offer their clean products to the international market, they must fix this issue quickly, as foreign standards have quite high criteria.
