Of this, over 2.2 million are expected to be domestic tourists, generating approximately $368 million in revenue, while about 4 million international tourists are expected to contribute over $1 billion in revenue.

To achieve these goals, Laos authorities plan to enhance promotion of the Year of Laos Tourism in Laos, English, and Chinese; publish various tourism information materials for distribution to tourists.

Laos authorities also plan to intensify tourism promotion activities, including organizing experiential trips for social media influencers to various tourist destinations across the country, with the aim of enhancing the visibility of Laos tourism on social media platforms.

Additionally, the Laos Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism has announced plans to increase the presence of Laos tourism representatives in countries that are target markets for Laos.

According to the Laos Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, besides promoting and boosting tourism, the Year of Laos Tourism also aims to showcase the country's art, culture, and traditions, as well as provide visitors with information about Laos's rich history and the sustainable use of its natural resources.
