HÀ NỘI — Leaders of China, Laos, Cuba and Russia have cabled congratulatory messages to Party General Secretary Trọng on his election as the State President of Việt Nam.
General Secretary of the Communist Party of China’s Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Laos People’s Revolutionary Party and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee Raul Castro Ruz, and Russian President Vladimir Putin all expressed their delight at Trọng’s new post.
US Ambassador to Việt Nam Dan Kritenbrink and Bangladeshi Ambassador Samina Naz on the same day extended congratulations to Trọng on his election as President.
