The Vietnam Social Security delegation included leaders from the Legal Department, the Office of Vietnam Social Security, the Information Technology Center, the International Cooperation Department, and the Social Security offices of Thua Thien Hue and Ha Tinh provinces. On the Lao side, the delegation was welcomed by Mrs. Keo Chanthavy Say, Director of LSSO; Mrs. Bua Hom Phommachan, Deputy Director; representatives from the Lao Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare; and various LSSO departments.

In her welcome speech, LSSO Director Keo Chanthavy Say stated, "Building on the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos, this visit by the Vietnam Social Security delegation marks an important step in implementing the Memorandum of Cooperation between our two organizations. Specifically, this visit aims to kick off the activities outlined in the 2022-2025 action plan. We hope this initial visit will strengthen and expand the cooperation and exchange of experiences between our two institutions in the future."

Mr. Chu Manh Sinh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Security, emphasized the importance of the longstanding cooperative relationship with Lao partners in the field of social security. He highlighted that this visit is crucial for sharing experiences between the two social security agencies, particularly in administrative procedure reform, communication strategies, and the application of IT and digital transformation in social security policy implementation.

Mr. Sinh noted that Vietnam Social Security currently administers policies for social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for nearly 650,000 organizations and businesses, covering about 17 million people in social insurance and over 90 million people in health insurance. Furthermore, the database managed by Vietnam Social Security is one of Vietnam's six national databases, recognized for its efficient data management and frequent support to other ministries and agencies for data sharing and management.
