Dien Bien Province Leadership and the Embassy Delegation of the Lao People's Democratic Republic at the Reception
During the reception, the leadership of Dien Bien Province briefed the delegation on several socio-economic achievements the province has accomplished in recent times. Notably, the province successfully organized a cultural and sports exchange program between students from Dien Bien and six northern provinces of Laos. Furthermore, the province has consistently maintained close coordination in border protection efforts, and the relationship and cooperation between Dien Bien and the northern provinces of Laos have been regularly nurtured and preserved.
The leadership of Dien Bien also expressed their desire to expand cooperation with the northern provinces of Laos in areas such as renewable energy development, industrial crops, and tourism. The province also requested that the Lao Embassy in Vietnam convey to the Lao Party, State, and Government the need to invest in upgrading the transportation routes from Tay Trang border gate to Oudomxay and Bokeo, as well as from the Huoi Puoc-Na Son border gate to Luang Prabang.
Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh emphasized that the meeting provided the delegation with a clearer understanding of Dien Bien Province's achievements and plans for socio-economic development, particularly in the context of its relationship and cooperation with the northern provinces of Laos. Regarding the province's proposals, the Embassy will take note and report them to the relevant authorities.
