Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos Meeting with Vietnam's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Viet Hung
On the afternoon of April 29/06/2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet, after co-chairing the 8th Political Consultation meeting between the Foreign Affairs Ministries of Vietnam and Laos, visited Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos Saleumxay Kommasith.
Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet expressed sincere thanks to the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos for welcoming the delegation warmly and cordially. Comrade Do Hung Viet was also conveyed the greeting from Minister Bui Thanh Son to Minister Saleumxay Kommasith and leaders, officials of the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet congratulated the great achievements that the Party and people of Laos have achieved in the work of building, protecting and developing the country.
The results of the 8th Political Consultation meeting between the two countries' Ministries of Foreign Affairs were announced by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam to the Deputy Prime Minister of Laos. Comrade Do Hung Viet affirmed that Vietnam is ready to fully support, share experiences and help Laos in all fields such as building industry, fostering and training officials, handling border issues, consulate... At the same time, coordinate, share, and unify views on issues of concern to both sides at regional and international forums.
Welcoming the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and his delegation to visit Laos and co-chair this Political Consultation meeting; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos Saleumxay Kommasith expressed his joy at the positive steps forward in the great friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries as well as the good development in relations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and Laos.
The Deputy Minister-level Political Consultation Mechanism and the proposal to the Foreign Ministries of the two countries were highly appreciated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Laos. Comrade Saleumxay Kommasith expressed his wish that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Laos and Vietnam continue to promote the exchange and sharing of information and experiences, cooperate closely, and unify views at international and regional forums. The two sides jointly coordinate to actively implement high-level agreements between the two Parties and States and successfully implement the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the two countries for the period 2021-2025, contributing to build friendly relations, cooperation between Vietnam and Laos is "forever green, eternally sustainable".
