Cooperation Among the Police Forces Contributes to Cultivating Vietnam-Lao Friendship

Over the past six decades, the comprehensive cooperative relationship between the People's Public Security forces of Vietnam and Laos has been strengthened and maintained, yielding practical results for the two countries' people's prosperity, happiness, and peace.

On March 23, 1961, the first group of experts from Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security was sent to support Laos in building and developing Laos, following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings that "helping a friend is helping yourself." The deployment of forces marks the start of police cooperation between the two countries.

Vietnamese experts have overcome all difficulties and worked closely with the Lao People's Police in the work of building security, police, and technical logistics forces since the beginning. and numerous other collaborations to build an increasingly strong Lao Police force capable of ensuring political security, social order, and safety in Laos over time. Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security also finished 244 Village Police Headquarters and turned them over to Laos for management and use.
