Tuesday, April 9, 2023 - In a lively celebration of regional unity and cultural legacy, the Cultural Exchange Festival with the theme "Colors of Indochina" took place this morning to commemorate the traditional New Year celebrations of Bunpimay in Laos and Chol Chnam Thmay in Cambodia. The Kon Tum campus of the University of Da Nang, in collaboration with the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Friendship Association and the Department of Foreign Affairs in Kon Tum Provincial, organized the event, which drew participants from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

Amidst Challenges, ADB Predicts Stronger Economic Growth for Laos in 2023 and 2024.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB), which is now projecting a growth rate of 4%, up 1.5% from last year's prediction, has painted an improved economic picture for Laos in 2023 and 2024. This upbeat outlook is laid out in the April Asian Development Outlook report by the ADB, which attributes the anticipated economic recovery in large part to the loosening of COVID-19 restrictions on a global and regional scale.
