A delegation from Dong Thap province recently completed a successful working trip to Laos. A journalist from Dong Thap Newspaper had an interview with Mr. Tran Tri Quang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, regarding the ongoing efforts to enhance exchange and cooperation between Dong Thap and the provinces of Salavan and Champasak in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

On the morning of April 8, 2024, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien held talks with Lao Minister of Industry and Trade Malaithong Kommasith, during which they signed the new Vietnam-Laos Trade Agreement. They also witnessed the signing of several cooperation memorandums between the two countries. These activities were part of Minister Nguyen Hong Dien's working visit to Vientiane, Laos, from April 6 to April 8.

Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Do Van Chien, urged the three sides to pay attention to, promote, and engage more deeply in the cooperation program in the next phase. The 5th Conference of the Chairmen of the Fronts of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam took place on the afternoon of April 9th in the capital city of Vientiane.
