Amata Group's Main Strategy for 2023: Strong Investment in Vietnam and Laos
Amata is widely recognized as Thailand's preeminent developer of industrial parks. This company has made a change to its 2023 commercial expansion plan, allocating more resources to Laos and Vietnam.
Mr. Viboon Kromadit, Director of Marketing for the Amata Group, said, "When planning to expand, we determined to focus on the entire Mekong River region." The Vietnamese market is a top priority for Amata's efforts in 2018. Laos, a fascinating country that we became a part of in 2022, progressed throughout this time. The site is ideal for an upcoming industrial park.
Around $144 million will be allocated to Amata's fixed asset portfolio in 2023. Specifically, over 50% of the money will be invested in the Vietnamese market, 20% will be used to expand the Thai market, and the remaining funds will be used to launch new ventures in Laos.
The Vietnamese economy is young and growing swiftly, with GDP growth of about 8% per year on average, and the country's political environment is reasonably stable, both of which are benefits in the present unstable economic climate. In addition, the country's advantageous investment policies and relatively young, abundant, and cheap labor force have aggressively drawn foreign investors, particularly in labor-intensive industries like electronics, heavy leather, clothing, and... Amata hopes to capitalize on this flood of foreign investment by encouraging Vietnamese investors to buy property, expand existing industrial parks, and build new ones.
In all, Amata presently owns 18.3 sq. km. of land in three different industrial parks in northern and southern Vietnam. The nearly 190 investment enterprises that have been attracted to Amata's 3 industrial parks have resulted in over $4 billion in FDI.
Laos has become a potential new industrial destination as a result of the opening of the railway connecting Vientiane, the Laotian capital, to Kunming, the bustling city of China's Yunnan province. One of the most important selling points is convenient access to public transportation. Amata's industrial complex in Laos, Amata City Natuey, opened in 2022. More investment will flow into Amata in 2023 because to the country's improved transportation networks, politically stable climate, and large, hardworking worker population.
Since both Laos and Vietnam are so close to one another, they have all the resources necessary to develop rapidly. The plan for investment by Amata Industrial Park Development Group is well thought out and prospective.
