Vietnam strengthens investment projects in Laos
On the occasion of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc's official visit to Laos, Vietnam presented the country with a vocational training school in Khammouan province. This morning, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his wife, as well as a high-ranking Vietnamese entourage, arrived in Vientiane to begin their official visit to Laos. According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after the official welcoming ceremony, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith held a meeting between the two high-level delegations.
The two countries discussed strategies and actions to further their particular relationship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation, as well as exchanging views on regional and worldwide concerns. mutual interest economy.

The two presidents expressed their joy at the positive evolution of Vietnam and Laos' cooperative relationship in recent years, spending most of their time discussing how they could help each other deal with the challenges posed by Covid-19. They committed to work together to develop cooperation in all areas, including politics, diplomacy, defense, and security, as well as education, economics, trade, investment, energy, culture, science and technology, and the arts.
The two sides agreed to continue to deepen collaboration with each other, as well as with relevant countries and international organizations, for the long-term management and use of the Mekong River's water resources, while underlining the necessity of sustaining peace and stability.
