Agricultural Products Trade Fair in the Northwest - Son La region in 2020 takes place from October 3 to October 10, 2020 with 235 standard stalls of 9 provinces in the Northwest region participating, including 75 booths of agricultural products of Son La province. The fair is held with the aim of propagating, promoting and introducing the economic development potentials, agricultural products of Son La province in particular and the Northwest mountainous provinces in general, creating favorable conditions for businesses to expand trade, promote, introduce and develop product brands and at the same time realize the dual goal set by the Prime Minister, which is to fight against Covid - 19 and develop the economy.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh - Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the help of the Department of Trade Promotion, Ministry of Industry and Trade in organizing the Fair. This is one of the important activities to implement the policies of the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - Son La Provincial People's Committee on building and operating the supply chain, consuming agricultural, forestry and fishery products; is an important solution in organizing production, improving product quality, building brand name associated with advertising, trade promotion, boosting agricultural product consumption, and raising income for farmers. Comrade emphasized: In the past years, especially 2020, despite the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, Son La agricultural products still achieved positive results. By 2020, the area of ​​fruit trees in Son La province will reach over 75,000 hectares, ranking 2nd nationwide; Of which, over 10,000 hectares were granted VietGAP certificates; 21 agricultural products and foodstuffs of the province have been granted certificates of protection for trademarks and trademarks (1 Shan Tuyet tea product is protected in Thai market); maintain and develop 144 safe agricultural supply chains. Production and consumption of agricultural products in Son La province have met 3 requirements: Good season; get the price; The income of the people has affirmed the correct policy of Son La province on the development of sustainable raw material areas, associated with production, processing, consumption and export promotion.
