The 21st International Exhibition on Food & Processing & Packaging Technology
VIETFOOD BEVERAGE AND PROPACK EXHIBITION – 21 YEARS OF TRADE PROMOTION IN FOOD – BEVERAGE – PACKAGING MACHINERY AND PACKING PROCESS
The Vietfood and Beverage - Propack international exhibition was first held in 1996. After 20 exhibitions witnessing significant and rapid changes in the market, from initial purpose of serving consumers’ basic needs, the Food and Beverage industry has now become a sector with considerable market share accounting for 15% of GDP, and it will continue to grow. The 2017 Vietfood and Beverage and ProPack marks its 21st anniversary with an ever largest scaled event.
The exhibition will open in four days, from August 9th to 12nd at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) – 799 Nguyen Van Linh Str., Dist. 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
The exhibition is a gathering place for new and well-known enterprises from all around the world. The core purpose is to promote trade and bring about values to both suppliers and consumers. While small-sized enterprises will enjoy the chance to introduce their latest products, seek potential customers and analyze responses from customers, giants in the Food and Beverage industry, such as Habeco, Sabeco, Tan Hiep Phat Group, Vissan, Vifon, RALACO and Duy Tan Corporation can take this opportunity to continue building trust and consolidating their positions in the business and consumer communities.
To date, the Organizer Committee has received registration from 425 companies from 21 countries and territories, notably Poland, Germany, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, China, and Vietnam, etc. The exhibition is expected to accommodate 500 booths, an equivalent of 9000 square meters, divided into large pavilions.
In Vietnam, the Food and Beverage Processing Industry has great potentials. Being a tropical agricultural country, Vietnam has abundant and diverse resources, which are the vital inputs for the processing industry. Given Viet Nam’s rapid development, increased income, and changes in lifestyle, particularly in the cities, the demand for snacks and expensive convenience food is also on a rise. Additionally, the large domestic market, low labor costs and the equitization process of food companies makes this sector full of vitality. As such, other relevant areas, such as processing, packaging, storage, machinery or production line, also have the opportunity to grow hand-in-hand.
“As far as I am concerned, the market in Vietnam has been constantly developing and having great demands on food packaging equipment. As a result, our corporation has rapidly developed at the market in Vietnam, especially at the Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack Vietnam Exhibition. We have approached as many as potential customers. Moreover, we have participated in this exhibition for many continuous and successful periods, and we even have gained much more than we expected. I strongly believe that the scale of this exhibition is getting bigger and bigger, becoming more and more professional and it always satisfy its customers”, said Mr. Vong Kuong, Director of SOLUTIONPACK from Malaysia.
VietFood & Beverage - ProPack has attracted the participation from a wide range of big corporations from many developed countries, for instance, Italia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Chinese Taipei. Those corporations stand ready to supply the chain of food production line, packaging and storage.
Particularly, the exhibition area of the Association of Poultry Processor and Poultry Trade in Poland and the EU will be the spotlight. Being well-organized, this area mainly displays processed poultry products. On this occasion, businesses that are members of the Association of Poultry Processor and Poultry Trade in Poland and the EU will also provide consultations and advices on biological farming methods and the application of new methods in food processing and storage. This will be very useful to Vietnamese poultry manufacturing companies. To make full use of this opportunity, the Organizing Committee will actively build up linkages and facilitate business to business (B2B) meetings between these companies and domestic ones, particularly for prepackaged and processed food enterprises.
To meet the real demands and trends of consumers, the exhibition will also introduce clean product lines with cultivation and aquaculture processes that meet environment-friendly and non-toxic standards. This year, there are a series of clean products from local manufacturing companies, for example, Organic Rice, Honey, Bird’s nest soup, Cereal, etc.
VIETFOOD BEVERAGE - PROPACK 2017 is organized by Vinexad with the great support and close cooperation from line Ministries and agencies in Vietnam, namely the Ministry of Industry and Trade; the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality and the Vietnam CODEX; and the active coordination from local and foreign Associations (such as the Vietnam Association of Beer and Alcohol; Food and Foodstuff Association of Ho Chi Minh City; Poland Association of Poultry; Association of Poultry Processors and Poultry Trade in the EU; Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and local provinces).
