Before the exchange, the organization panel held other social activities for people living on both sides of the shared borderline, such as providing free health check-ups and medicines to border people, presenting cattle to needy households, and holding cultural and sports events between armed forces and people of Vietnam and Laos.

The relevant units have so far completed all preparations for the exchange.

After the comprehensive inspection, General Phuong highly valued the efforts of functional forces in preparing the program, while asking them to continue completing plans to assure a successful Vietnam-Laos border exchange.
