"Vietnam is willing to share valuable experiences in agricultural development with Laos"

June 22, in Can Tho City, Chairman of Viet Nam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man had a meeting with the Senior Delegation of the Lao Central Front leaded by Mr. Kaysone Phomvihane, Chairman of the Lao Central Front.

At the meeting, Chairman of Viet Nam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man said: Can Tho City is located in the center of the Mekong Delta region, covering an area of about 1,400 km2, with about 1,3 million population; Can Tho city has advantages in industry, services and high quality agricultural products.

"Vietnam's agriculture in general, Vietnam Fatherland Front and Can Tho City in particular are always willing to cooperate and share valuable experiences in agricultural development, both success and difficulties" - Mr. Man said.

Mr. Kaysone Phomvihane said that he highly appreciated the results and achievements of Vietnam’s socio-economy over the years. He also took this occasion to congratulate Vietnam on being a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.

Mr. Kaysone Phomvihane wanted to invite experts from Can Tho City to do research in Laos and then the two sides could discuss and implement the next cooperation projects, especially in rice cultivation, fish farming, fruit tree planting
