VietinBank Laos: An important resource fostering investment and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Laos

On September 17, 2019, VietinBank held the Opening Ceremony of VietinBank Laos Head Office Building. There was the presence of Laos’ Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Somdy Douangdy and Vietnam’s Governor of State Bank Le Minh Hung.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Laos’ Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Somdy Douangdy highlighted: Started its operation in February 2012, VietinBank's not only providing financial services and products but also performing as an bridge connecting trade and investment between the two nations.

In recent years, VietinBank Laos has built a good customer network including Vietnamese enterprises in rubber, telecommunication, mining, iron and steel, petroleum industries and large corporations and enterprises in Laos. In addition, VietinBank Laos has also built a good relationship with authorities, agencies of Laos, Vietnam Embassy in Laos, etc.

VietinBank Laos has demonstrated it as a payment bridge, providing a wide range of financial products and services for businesses and people, actively participating in promoting economic cooperation, trade and investment of the two countries.

On this opening event, VientinBank presented US$100,000 to the Lao Government to support victims of the storm No. 5 (Storm Podul) in several provinces in central and southern Laos.
