The largest heavy industry factory in Vietnam comes into operation
After nearly 2 years of construction, in the morning of 15/5, in Dung Quat Economic Zone - Quang Ngai, Doosan Vina Heavy Industry Company held the inauguration ceremony of Doosan Vina Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Factory.
This is the largest foreign invested project invested in heavy industry in Vietnam.
Doosan Heavy Industry Factory consists of 5 workshops specializing in the production of heavy industrial products such as boilers for thermal power plants; Heat recovery boiler; Desalination equipment; Chemical treatment equipment; Robot; Generator turbines and parts of power plants ...
The factory has created jobs for more than 2,000 workers and when used at full capacity will employ between 2,500 and 3,000 workers.
Beside the factory, investors also invest in living quarters for workers and specialists in Van Tuong new urban area.
It is expected that in 2009, the Doosan Vina Heavy Industries will reach a production value of about $ 30 million.
The 114-hectare Doosan Vina Heavy Industries complex, with a total investment of $ 300 million, is owned by Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd. and Doosan Mecatec Co., Ltd of Doosan Heavy Industries. Korea's top investment.
