THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR EXCELLENT DESIGN ASEAN - KOREA
According to Vietnam's initiative at the meeting of the Council of ASEAN countries - Korea, on the occasion of Vietnam as the chair of ASEAN in 2020, the Trade Promotion Department, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will coordinate with AKC and KIDP to organize a series of activities " Award of excellent product packaging design ASEAN - Korea "with the theme" Packaging Design - Packaging Design". The series of activities will take place from May to August 2020 including outstanding events such as the 1st International Competition on Design Excellence ASEAN - Korea, International Conference on Capacity Building Packaging Design, Award Ceremony and Excellent Design Exhibition ... promises to attract the participation of top designers from Korea and 10 ASEAN member countries with brightly designed products to create in the fields of: Food, Beverage, Health and Beauty.
The ASEAN - Korea International Competition of Design Excellence with the aim of honoring outstanding design products of ASEAN countries enhances information exchange and expands ASEAN-Korea cooperation in design, it was held for the first time in Hanoi with 3 rounds of competition: Round 1 (from May 4th to June 14th, 2020): Submit application documents and pictures (online), Round 2 (from June 24th) to 19/07/2020): Submit the video clip presenting ideas (pitching clips) and Round 3 (August 26, 2020 in Hanoi): Final and Award Ceremony of Design Excellence.
The product packaging designs coming to the Final Round will be awarded ASEAN - Korea Design Excellence and the opportunity to receive prizes worth 1000 USD. In particular, the best designs of the participating candidates will be displayed in the Excellent Design Exhibition at the Vietnam - Korea Design Center within 1 month from August 26, 2020.
Through a series of activities "ASEAN - Korea Outstanding Product Packaging Design Award", the Organizing Committee wishes to raise awareness of the role of design, product development and branding in production activities and business to help to enhance competitiveness in international markets and at the same time promoting bilateral cooperation between Vietnam - Korea in particular and ASEAN and Korea in general.
