On November 27, 2020, Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Company Limited announced the purchase price of latex in the garden at 340 VND / TSC, down 65 VND / TSC compared to the end of October 2020; The purchase price of latex at the factory was 270 VND / TSC, down 80 VND / TSC compared to the end of October 2020. In November 2020, Loc Ninh Rubber One Member Company Limited also announced four times to adjust the purchasing price of raw rubber latex at the garden and factory.


For export markets, the Import and Export Department cited statistics of the United States International Trade Commission showing that, in the first 9 months of 2020, the United States imported 1.21 million tons of rubber, worth 2,12 billion USD, down 19.6% in volume and 25.4% in value over the same period in 2019.

In the first 9 months of 2020, Vietnam is the 14th largest rubber supplier to the United States with 17.62 thousand tons, worth 25.71 million USD, down 25% in volume and 17.6% in value compared to the same period in 2019; Vietnam's rubber market share in the total US rubber imports accounted for 1.4%, slightly down from 1.5% in the first 9 months of 2019.
The prospect of Vietnam's rubber export to the US depends greatly on the effectiveness of Covid-19 epidemic control and the speed of economic recovery of this country. The US auto manufacturers have yet to compensate for the drop in output after about two months of shutdown due to the Covid-19 epidemic. The shutdown has reduced the number of cars in stock by about 3.3 million vehicles and delayed production plans for 2021.
