Lao State Inspection Delegation Visits PV GAS
During the meeting, PV GAS leadership expressed their pleasure and honor in welcoming and working with Mr. Khamphan Phommathat and his delegation. They emphasized that the visit deepened the close and friendly relationship between Laos and Vietnam, fostering a sense of camaraderie.
PV GAS presented a report on its formation, development, and significant achievements over the past 34 years, highlighting its leadership in the gas industry and its substantial contributions to Vietnam's oil and gas sector and the country at large. PV GAS was honored to represent the Vietnamese business community in discussing inspection-related issues and providing a report on internal inspection and control activities. The company emphasized its commitment to transparent inspection practices to ensure sustainable development. PV GAS’s leadership noted that opportunities to meet and delve into specialized topics with inspection agencies were valuable for exchanging and learning best practices, aiming to refine internal governance and continue establishing its leadership in the oil and gas sector. They also shared investment plans in the North-Central region, infrastructure connectivity, and market expansion in Laos, expressing a strong desire for Lao government support to advance business activities in Laos.
Mr. Khamphan Phommathat thanked PV GAS leadership, staff, and workers for their warm, respectful, and sincere welcome, reflecting the strong camaraderie between the two nations. He commended PV GAS for its outstanding achievements and significant contributions to the country, expressing hope that PV GAS would continue to seek suitable partners to expand into the Lao market, transporting products from Vung Ang to Laos to boost the Lao economy in the spirit of both comradeship and brotherhood. Regarding mechanisms and policies to facilitate cooperation, gas distribution, and product sales, Khamphan Phommathat indicated a willingness to listen and make appropriate recommendations to support and create conducive conditions for market development. The high-level Lao State Inspectorate delegation also emphasized that the practical learning program in Vietnam would provide valuable experiences for their work in Laos, and the results of this visit would be reported to the Lao government, with lessons widely disseminated within the sector.
Representatives of the Vietnamese Government Inspectorate reaffirmed that the collaboration program with their Lao counterparts has involved many years of coordination through meetings, exchanges, training sessions, and effective field visits. The visit to PV GAS and discussions on specialized topics have strengthened the bonds of solidarity and provided valuable insights to enhance governance and the development of the business community in both countries. This effort contributes to improving management efficiency, safeguarding state interests, and protecting the legal rights and interests of businesses.
The delegates focused on studying and discussing issues related to internal control within enterprises, identifying and analyzing challenges. This process clarified existing problems and proposed key solutions to guide companies according to the national strategy while fostering innovation and development. The high-level Lao State Inspectorate delegation and the Vietnamese Government Inspectorate also visited PV GAS’s Phu My Gas Distribution Center. The visit brought warm feelings of camaraderie and brotherhood between Vietnam and Laos to PV GAS’s leadership and employees. There is a profound belief in the enduring relationship of “great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation” between the two parties, governments, and peoples of Vietnam and Laos. This relationship is expected to remain vibrant and sustainable, with the ties between the two countries continuing to flourish.
