Ensuring the progress of the Lao National Assembly House construction

During the visit to Laos, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and the high-ranking delegation of the National Assembly of Vietnam visited and inspected the construction of Lao National Assembly House.

Attending the event were Member of the Central Committee Laos’ Revolutionary Party, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Building Committee Somphan Phengkhammy; Vietnamese Party Central Committee members: Chairman of the External Relations Committee Nguyen Van Giau, General Secretary of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc, Head of the People's Committee of Standing Committee of the National Assembly Nguyen Thanh Hai, Minister Ministry of Construction Pham Hong Ha, etc.

Speaking at the site, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan  stressed that Lao National Assembly House is a gift of the Vietnamese Party, State and people to Laos. It is a symbol of great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos

She also met with officials and soldiers of Military Corp 11 under the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence, who are in charge of the project’s construction, asking them to strictly follow regulations on technical standards of the project, while striving to complete it in 2020.

Following the direction of National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Vietnamese Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha affirmed that the Ministry will coordinate with relevant agencies in implementing the construction of the Lao National Assembly House, ensuring the quality and safety.
