The Minister of Planning and Investment was elected Chairman of the Vietnam-Laos Cooperation Committee
On November 29, 2021, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1999/QD-TTg on strengthening the personnel of the Vietnam - Laos Cooperation Committee in the Intergovernmental Committee on Bilateral Cooperation. between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Laos People's Democratic Republic.
Accordingly, the Government approved the list of members of the Vietnam - Laos Cooperation Committee to replace the list in Decision 422/QD-TTg dated April 5, 2017 of the Prime Minister. Specifically, the list of Vietnam - Laos Cooperation Committee includes the Chairman of the Committee is Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung; Vice Chairman of the Committee is Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong; The Secretary of the Committee is the Head of the Laos - Cambodia Cooperation Committee, the Department of External Economic Relations, the Ministry of Planning and Investment Nguyen Van Thanh and 11 members of the Committee.
Regulations on working regimes, seals and operating funds of the Committee are specified in Articles 2, 3, and 4 of the Prime Minister's Decision No. 422/QD-TTg dated April 5, 2017 of the Prime Minister remain unchanged.
This Decision takes effect from November 29, 2021.
